PAZ Virtual is a one-person startup created by Benjamin Reifler, an aerospace engineering PhD student at the University of Texas at Austin. Previously, he has served as the Senior Attitude Determination and Control Co-Lead for the University at Buffalo Nanosatellite Laboratory and has worked as a Phillips Space Scholar for the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Space Vehicles Directorate.
PAZ Virtual has two main goals. One is to provide free, open-source, cross-platform libraries (particularly the PAZ Engine) to help anyone who wants to create high-quality, visually appealing computer games and simulations. The other goal is to fulfill my childhood fantasy of making really great video games based on interesting concepts including the mechanics of real-world space travel and the disorienting potential of gravity.
